I’m Richmond, VA, born and bred. I attended Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School HS, then the University of Virginia, where I studied Comparative Literature (English and Spanish) as an Echols Scholar. After graduating in May 2009, I moved to Almería, Spain, and enjoyed teaching English and living by the Mediterranean until returning to the States in July 2010. Since coming home, I’ve undertaken some freelance journalism work and now write full time for a direct marketing firm. My interests include literature, news, music of many genres, iron-clad friendships, and anything outdoors, especially the James River in Richmond, America’s Greatest Urban Waterway.
